Tasks

Track & Trace

As a Track & Trace Specialist, you follow shipments from start to finish and ensure their visibility in our systems. This enables you to communicate information clearly to customers and partners. In the event of discrepancies, you are actively involved in finding solutions. You monitor the cargo registration process and actively intervene in the event of discrepancies. You also update back-end systems with all the information required for reporting and SLA targets. In addition, you assess the impact of different transports on each other via wagon set management.

Communication with customers

You ensure that customers always receive complete information on time via push messages. You also answer their phone calls and e-mails. In addition, you offer support for the preparation of bills of lading.

Diversion management

You ensure that decisions are made regarding shipments that are blocked. You make priority decisions based on various parameters, such as railcar availability, terminal slots, specific customer requirements and scheduling. You are also responsible for switching railcars in the event of a problem, and for informing customers of goods that have been switched. You follow up damage, limiting the impact on ongoing transport.

Profile

  • We are looking for an enthusiastic person who is willing to learn the processes and tools.

  • You must be fluent in Dutch, French and English. In addition, knowledge of Italian, German, Spanish or other languages is an advantage.
  • You are keen to anticipate problems and have strong communication skills.

  • As a fast thinker and solution-oriented, you are able to keep your cool in stressful situations.

What can we offer you?

You will receive a full-time contract from us for an indefinite period. Your starting salary is at least 45,100 euros per year and depends on your expertise. We also offer you an attractive insurance package including hospitalization insurance, private accident insurance, guaranteed group income insurance and pension.

You will receive meal vouchers and ecocheques as additional benefits. You are entitled to 23 vacation days and, after one year, you will receive an additional day. In addition, you will receive 6 ADV days and every five years, your seniority will earn you an extra day off.

The work is done in the office, so working from home is not possible.

Because our trains run at all hours of the day (and night), you will work on a 3 x 8 shift system.
