We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer based in Lisbon.

Job Role:

• Responsible for performing analysis, audit, design, and optimization of telecom networks based on technical knowledge. The Network Engineer role is applicable in areas of RAN, Transport, Core, OM and Services Networks. The Network Engineer may be engaged in the whole process from early engagement, pre-sales of services and networks to service delivery and acceptance. 
• The role is focused on:
  1) Based on deep technical understanding and ability to extract insight from e.g. network data to deliver high quality network design, audit and optimization services according to Ericsson requirements and customer needs and specifications.
  2) Based on advanced technical network analysis, supports pre-sales org, e.g. Solution Architects, with credible business opportunities for services, products and SW sales.
  3) Be able to work with new Ericsson analytics solutions related to automation and ML tools.
  4) Work independently and provide quality deliverables per project or service scope.
  5) Drive technology innovation aiming at identifying project efficiencies, new solutions and services.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide Technical Advice: Suggest resolution of complex technical problems within multiple domains; Ability to articulate and provide sound technical advice through deep analytical ability founded in technical knowledge and a solid data analysis skill.
2. Deliver and Discuss Technical Solutions:  Lead technical discussions within multiple domains supporting presales and customer engagements; Ensure credibility through specific insight of the network created through thorough network analysis; Seen as a technology authority by both customers and internal interfaces
3. Assist in pre-sales:  Review and sanity check pre-sales offerings. Add credibility through technical competence and customers network insight where applicable 
4. Data Analytics: Transform current NDO ways of working towards analytics; Intelligent data usage and new analytics tools and frameworks expertise.
5. Analyze and decide approach for Automation: Possess  analytical skills. Able to analyze data and decide/develop solution or approaches to automation; Translate  complex manual process into automation approach. Develop or customize solutions for specific projects that can be reused
6. Drive Technology Innovation: Contribute with  innovative ideas and stimulate innovative thinking in the unit; Provide in-depth technical  solutions for complex and/or complicated problems within the scope of the defined specialist area; Initiate, coach  and drive innovation activities and projects targeting new opportunities

Qualifications:

• Academic degree, minimum on bachelor level, in engineering (IT, Telecom)
• Ability to perform analysis and thereby creating valuable insight of the customers networks.
• Advanced technical knowledge in the network area of working domains (Radio, Transport, and Core)
• Data Analytics expertise

Location: Lisbon – hybrid work model
Working hours: 9 am – 6 pm, Monday to Friday
