Your Role

 

  • Curate a dynamic wine selection that perfectly complements our "Tasca Pop Alentejana" concept, featuring a strong emphasis on Portuguese and regional wines, alongside international favorites.

  • Guide guests through our cellar with genuine passion, offering insightful recommendations that enhance their casual yet refined dining experience.

  • Anticipate pairing needs for a diverse menu, from traditional Alentejo dishes to JNcQUOI classics and innovative small plates.

  • Maintain an impeccably organized wine display and ensure seamless, unpretentious wine service that reflects the relaxed luxury of Comporta.

  • Represent the JNcQUOI brand with a friendly, knowledgeable, and inviting demeanor, making every guest feel at home.

 

You Bring

 

  • Proven experience as a Sommelier or in a highly knowledgeable wine service role, ideally within a relaxed fine-dining or premium casual setting.

  • A deep appreciation for Portuguese wines, especially those from the Alentejo and Setúbal regions, coupled with strong general wine knowledge.

  • Exceptional communication skills (English required; Portuguese or other languages a plus), allowing you to connect with guests effortlessly.

  • A polished yet approachable presence and an authentic enthusiasm for sharing the story behind each bottle.

  • The ability to contribute to a lively, "do whatever you like, whenever you like" atmosphere while upholding high standards.
